Embraer has secured a significant new order from lessor Azorra for 15 firm Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, along with purchase rights for an additional 15 jets. The deal marks another major boost for Embraer’s E-Jet E2 program and pushes total orders for the family beyond the 500-aircraft milestone.
The E195-E2 is the largest member of Embraer’s second-generation E-Jet family. It offers improved fuel efficiency, lower operating costs, and greater range compared to the original E-Jet series, making it popular with both airlines and lessors. Azorra, which already operates a substantial fleet of Embraer aircraft, has been one of the strongest supporters of the E2 program.
This latest commitment further strengthens Embraer’s position in the regional and narrowbody jet market, where it competes with Airbus and Bombardier. The E195-E2’s ability to carry up to 146 passengers in a single-class configuration, combined with its long-range capability, has made it particularly attractive to lessors and airlines seeking efficient aircraft for both regional and medium-haul routes.
Embraer has not yet disclosed the financial value of the deal or the expected delivery schedule. However, the order comes at a time when the Brazilian manufacturer is seeing renewed momentum for its commercial jet programs following several years of slower sales.
Azorra’s continued investment in the E195-E2 highlights growing lessor confidence in the aircraft’s market potential. The lessor has previously placed multiple orders for Embraer jets and has been actively expanding its portfolio of next-generation regional aircraft.
With this deal, the E-Jet E2 family has now surpassed 500 firm orders since its launch. Embraer continues to ramp up production of the E2 family as it works to meet growing demand from both airlines and leasing companies worldwide.
The Brazilian manufacturer is expected to provide further details on the transaction during its next earnings call or at upcoming industry events.
